Shocking Bengaluru Infosys Case: Tech Worker Filmed Woman in Office Toilet

Bengaluru: A tech worker at Infosys in Bengaluru has been arrested for recording videos of a woman inside the office toilet, a serious violation of privacy.
Nagesh Swapnil Mali, a senior associate, was caught in the act by a female employee on Monday. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the woman observed suspicious behavior from the toilet cubicle next to hers and discovered Mali filming her. She quickly raised the alarm, resulting in swift action from other employees who apprehended him. Upon inspection, Mali’s mobile phone was found to contain video footage of the incident, which Human Resources personnel deleted in the woman’s presence.
Authorities are treating this matter with utmost seriousness, as police sources suggest that this may not be the only incident involving Mali. An investigation is underway to determine if he has secretly recorded other women. His mobile phone has been sent to a forensic lab to recover deleted content and to confirm whether he has engaged in similar actions before.
In a related case in Ayodhya in April, a 25-year-old employee at a guest house near the Ram Temple was apprehended for filming a woman while she bathed. The victim, a devotee from Varanasi, noticed a shadow and realized someone was filming her from above through the tin roof.
The phone belonging to the suspect, identified as Saurabh Tiwari, was seized, and police discovered numerous videos of other women guests, further underscoring the alarming trend of such predatory behavior.
